Vancouver Island Wedding on Style Me Pretty

Ewp_2553In August, we had the pleasure of hosting Jacquie and Patrick as they shared their vows with family and friends.

With help from Erin Wallis Photography, Petal & Kettle, and The Landing West Coast Grill, this West Coast wedding was absolutely beautiful. Erin's photographs even attracted the attention of Style Me Pretty Canada, which recently released a feature

In the Style Me Pretty piece, Jacquie says: "I was never one to dream about my wedding day growing up, but once the time came to start planning our big day, we knew right away that Pacific Shores would be the perfect place, with the natural beauty of the property and the stunning views overlooking the Strait of Georgia. We had family and friends coming from near and far, including Patrick’s Ouma from Cape Town, South Africa, and Pacific Shores allowed our guests to enjoy the true beauty of Vancouver Island."

Festive Four Course Dinner Special at The Landing

Wine Cellar Atilla 2009From gift giving to decking the halls, there's already enough planning that needs to be done this week. Let us take some culinary responsibilities off your plate and replace them with our new Festive Four Course Dinner menu at The Landing West Coast Grill!

For only $39.95 per person, guests receive a soup, appetizer, choice of main course (Rotisserie Fresh Turkey or Wild Sockeye Salmon), Dessert and a choice of coffee or tea.  

The menu is for minimum group sizes of four people, and we ask that reservations are made at least 24 hours in advance.

A great menu can make it difficult to choose just one main dish. On the other hand, sometimes a smaller portion is simply all you feel like. The Landing West Coast Grill at Pacific Shores is offering dinner and lunch Fall Small Plate Specials, featuring some of our favourite dishes for less, including Ocean Wise and gluten-free items.

All dinner small plate menu options are $15 and all lunch small plate menu options are $10. Take a look! We're sure our small plates will make a big impression.

The Landing Westcoast Grill culinary team did a fine job at the 2011 Fire and Ice Festival in Qualicum Beach this past weekend.

Atilla Cimsit, Sommelier and Director of Food and Beverage at The Landing, and his team put a lot of hard work into preparing their delicious double-smoked turkey and bacon chili, crafted with four different types of beans.

Winewind Wine Club Seminar at Pacific Shores

We had a great turn out (and even sold out!) for our first wine seminar on May 4, 2011 at Pacific Shores.

We had lots of happy neighbours and wine enthusiasts from the Fairwinds Golf Community.

Atilla Cimsit, The Landing West Coast Grill's Sommelier and Director of Food and Beverage, gave the seminar and covered northern Italy, the Piedmont and Venoto regions. The food was designed to pair with the six wines from these two region.

The participants were extremely appreciative and enjoyed this seminar!
